Boathouse Row Relighting Ceremony

After more than a year of darkness for maintenance, the Boathouse Row lights are set to shine again in a dazzling relighting ceremony on March 7. The iconic facades now boast 6,400 sparkling new LED lights. Located at the Fairmount Fish Ladder on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, the ceremony promises food trucks, live music, and a sneak peek of the lights' 16 million possible color combinations. The celebration kicks off with remarks at 6 p.m., followed by the mesmerizing light show at 7 p.m.

Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade

Continuing the tradition since 1771, the Philadelphia St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place annually on the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day, March 10 in 2024. Spectators line the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to witness one of the best St. Patrick's Day parades in the U.S. The event honors the patron saint of Ireland, celebrating Irish heritage and culture with a lively procession.
